At Little Hens Little Cooks the aim is to help kids learn to cook.
Spending time in the kitchen and cooking a variety of recipes helps the children to develop a positive attitude to different types of food including Fruit and Vegetables.
A positive experience with fresh foods is important because healthy foods are the foundation for good nutrition. Above all, we want them to have FUN.
If children have a fun time in the kitchen they are laying the foundations for a love of cooking and a curiosity about food.
In the classes the children will have the opportunity to learn how to,
- Use kitchen equipment (Whisks, Scales, Rolling Pin etc)
- Further develop their fine motor skills (stirring, cutting, spreading etc)
- Recognise different types of fruit and vegetables and other food stuffs
- Try new and different foods
- Work in a team
- Measure (use scales, dividing into portions etc)
I am fully insured and DBS checked.
